Extra Sensory Accessory, a translational research effort in Sensory Branding by the Centre for Experience Design, has created Always a Better Way - a unique, memorable and transformative scent for the Singapore Design Festival 2007. Based on this year’s festival theme, Always a Better Way captures Singapore’s uniqueness as a city of creation, exploration and hope, where Design plays a key role in the creation of a Singapore of the future. Always a Better Way marks this historic milestone in the evolution of Design in Singapore, and will evoke fond memories of the Singapore Design Festival 2007 every time it fills the air.

Extra Sensory Accessory is about creating a unique, memorable and transformative scent of a brand, product, service or event by adding an olfactory dimension to the existing repertoire of communication media. Increasingly Sensory Branding has become a key way for brands to convey real meaning to audiences. The olfactory experience has become as important as their visual and tactile counterparts in the quest for the consumer’s attention as an effective tool to cut through the noise of conventional media.
